The Perpetual Chase explores the Buddhist tenets of the eternal cycle of life and the earthly realities of longing, loss, and denial. Through an emotive technique of mixed media and the use of negative stencils, dark subject matter and struggle is contrasted with the beauty of the mundane and infinite. Birth and the subsequent loss of innocence is dissected in the artist’s iconic Bunny series where a classic symbol of childhood is blindfolded and heartbroken exemplifying the destiny of all who live and love. ABOUT THE ARTIST Dare is a painter and illustrator who was born to artist parents and began as a graffiti writer in New York City.
